Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Researcher with expertise in molecular diagnostics assay development to lead innovative research projects focused on advancing nucleic acid extraction and amplification technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in PCR, LAMP, CRISPR-based diagnostics, and other nucleic acid testing techniques, along with a strong background in assay optimization, validation, and clinical translation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the research and development of novel molecular diagnostic assays, optimizing sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
• Develop and refine nucleic acid extraction and amplification protocols for point-of-care applications.
• Design and execute experiments for assay validation, including clinical sample testing and analytical performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, bioinformaticians, and product development teams, to integrate assays into commercial platforms.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in molecular diagnostics, identifying opportunities for innovation.
• Prepare technical reports, patents, scientific publications, and grant proposals to support research initiatives.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics assay development, preferably in an industry or applied research setting.
• Expertise in qPCR, RT-PCR, LAMP, CRISPR-based diagnostics, isothermal amplification, and nucleic acid extraction methods.
• Strong understanding of assay validation principles, regulatory requirements, and clinical diagnostics workflows.
• Experience with biosensors, microfluidics, and lab-on-a-chip technologies is a plus.
• Proven track record of scientific publications, patents, or successful assay commercialization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
